In the third quarter of 2024, the African market for cartoon fantasy games demonstrated a variety of trends across the top five applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Candy Crush Saga from King showed strong performance with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $155K in the last week of September. The game maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers hovering around 140K to 160K weekly. Active users saw a gradual decline, moving from 3.75M at the start of the quarter to 3.19M by the end.

Toon Blast by Peak Games experienced a steady revenue increase, reaching around $23K in late September. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at just over 5K in the second week of July and dropping to around 3.5K by the quarter's end. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 29K and ending at 26K.

Candy Crush Soda Saga, another title from King, had a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at about $14K towards the end of September. Download numbers showed an upward trend, reaching over 70K in the final week. Active users also increased, ending the quarter at approximately 1.03M.

Match Masters ‎- PvP Match 3 by Candivore LTD saw stable revenue, with a peak of $13K in the last week of September. Downloads were relatively stable, with a notable peak of over 8K in mid-September. Active users remained consistent, fluctuating around 50K to 60K throughout the quarter.

Pokémon GO from Niantic, Inc. had a varied revenue pattern, peaking at $17K in early July but generally staying under $10K for most of the quarter. Downloads peaked at 8K in September, while active users demonstrated some fluctuation, ending the quarter at about 105K.
